The 1913 Armory Show introduced Americans to avant-garde art with a ground-breaking display that shook the foundations of the art world and helped inaugurate a new era in New York culture. Accompanying the major exhibition The Armory Show at 100: Modern Art and Revolution, this day-long event will bring together acclaimed national and international scholars to take a fresh look at one of the most important exhibitions in United States history and examine its place in a turbulent period in the city’s history.
